4th of July Desserts

June 13, 2011 by Camille 3 Comments

Mmmm.  Dessert.  No good meal is complete without a good dessert.  No good holiday is complete without a good meal.  So, what I’m saying is… bring on the dessert!  I look forward to 4th of July BBQ’s because I always walk away from the celebration with at least one new recipe idea.  Here are some great dessert ideas I found on my favorite site, pinterest.

Red, White and Blue Rocket Popsicle Cupcakes

These red, white and blue rocket popsicle cupcakes are almost too cute to eat.  Almost…  Beautiful and festive — perfect for a 4th of July BBQ celebration.

Berry Cheesecake in  Jar

Delish!  Cheesecake is a bit of a weakness of mine.  There’s fruit with it – so it’s healthy, right?

Simple Red, White and Blue Sprinkled Cupcakes

Really, you can’t go wrong with cupcakes.  For a quick and easy 4th of July dessert, opt for cupcakes decorated with sprinkles.

Ooooooh.  The combination of chocolate, cream and berries looks delightful.

4th of July Patriotic Flag Rice Krispie Treats

These adorable flag rice krispie treats are made using Air Head candy.  This would be a quick and festive dessert, horderve, or snack for your 4th of July party.

Patriotic Berry Pie

This pie looks like it came straight from a magazine.  (It did…)  To me this beautiful dessert is All-American.  Perfect for those of you that are a little more ambitious than I am.

Patriotic Berry Trifle

I’ve never made a trifle, but after seeing how good looking and (maybe) simple they are to make, I think I may need to try it this year.  Again, I’m loving the blue berries and strawberries.  As long as you’ve got some fruit in the dessert then I’m guessing it’s healthy and you’re OK to get seconds.

Red, White and Blue Flag Cake Pops

Cake pops are always a hit at holiday celebrations and parties.  You’re sure to dazzle with this fun dessert for your 4th of July celebration.

These patriotic bite-sized fruit tarts would be great to bring as a potluck dessert.

The trifle looks amazing. I’ve always wanted to try making one too. Maybe I’ll buy a trifle dish and do it.
