Monster Painted Rocks

August 8, 2012 by Camille 1 Comment

These painted rock magnets from Zoe at Coast Inspired Creations are absolutely adorable.  I love the bright vibrant colors, cute monster smiles, and wiggly googly eyes.

Here is what Zoe said about this project:

This is a relatively simple project that can be spread out over a few days, so is great to amuse the kid’s during the summer holidays.

I collected beach stones (pebbles) from the coast, painted them bright colors, designed monster expressions, glued on googly eyes and finally glued on magnets to the backs.

Materials used: Acrylic paint, pebbles, strong glue and googly craft eyes.

It’s a simple project which requires adult supervision and obviously sole adult use where super glue is in use.

See the complete tutorial here.

This would be a great craft to get your kids involved.  You could make these magnets as a fun DIY gift.  I’m thinking a teacher appreciation gift or a just because neighbor gift.  These would have been great party favors for my son’s monster birthday party last year.

Thanks for sharing Zoe!
