Easy Fruit Dip Recipe

March 2, 2012 by Camille 4 Comments

I drummed up this simple recipe when preparing for a summer birthday party.  I figured the crackers had a yummy cheese ball to dip with so why not the fruit.  It is so simple to make that I was surprised when people were saying “This dip is great!  How did you make it?”

Easy Fruit Dip Recipe

Ingredients

  • Cool Whip (I use the Lite version)
  • Yogurt – I use light yogurt and have used all types of flavors.  This time I used a vanilla yogurt.

Instructions

I purposefully didn’t include measurements because I never use any measurements.  I usually do a little more Cool Whip than yogurt, but it depends on what texture you prefer.  As your mixing if you realize you need more yogurt, add more yogurt.

Place cool whip in a small mixing bowl.  I used about 2/3 cup in this example.  I didn’t need a lot of dip.

Add yogurt. You can use any flavor.  In this example I used Dannon light vanilla yogurt.

Stir until mixed together.

Strawberries and Cream Fruit Dip

I love this dip with strawberries.  Often I will cute a big bowl of strawberries and top it with Cool Whip or this simple fruit dip.  This is a light, healthy snack or could even be used for breakfast.  If you missed my weight loss story, you can read about why I love strawberries so much.
